Microsoft will rule this with an iron fist. Why would they do away with Flash and multitasking especially since its something that seperates WM and iPhone.

Just doesn't make sense to me why MS would take important features like this away unless they have a bloody good reason. They might be doing away with Flash to force WM users to use their own Silverlight?

Lets see a few days to go before we should find out. Keep the faith :)

Re: [ RUMOR ] Windows Phone 7 Features

If all this holds true (especially the multitasking, no backward compatibility, and no flash bits) I'm definitely jumping ship to Android at the end of the year. If I have to start all over from scratch with my apps, why would I bother with WM7? It'll take 1-2 years for decent apps to start rolling in, whereas Android already has a growing app base. That, I'll still be able to multitask properly. I need to be able to take notes, look up words in a dictionary, and read PDF docs at the same time.

Man these rumors suck. Sounds like WM7 = iPhone clone.

Edit: I just read through the comments and noticed these rumors might apply to some kinda Zune Phone. Let's hope that is true!

Re: The most useful feature in Windows Mobile is arguably its backup feature !!!!! Certain technologies have to drop the old to make way for the new. I think WM6.6 will continue to support existing applications. I believe tools will be available to easily convert older apps to WM7 anyway.

Also, I don't see why Flash wont be supported, as long as we can install Skyfire or Opera (or purchase it am WM appstore) we should be just fine.

Re: [ NSFW ] hd2Wobble Beta now available

why i can't resize it??

Re: RockClock – FREE Alarm Clock for Windows Phone

Bugfix due to be released 10th feb 2010 addressing issue of application waking up from standby.

Re: [ Press Release ] NDrive offfering 7 days free trial

How often does it update location data? Your choice of words, spelling, general grammar, punctuation and formatting leaves me wondering whether you are in fact who you claim to be.

A developer with inside information? Look everything in most articules you have been reading is false. The only thing true is compatibility issues might occur with some programs. Relax and wait till official news. As a developer myself with info inside, trust me windows mobile 7 will be a huge upgrade from windows mobile 6.5 , almost like a new OS. I cant give anymore info but lets just say 1) you will be happy with smoothness and lack of slowdown with added customization and 2) portible video games systems be prepared for new challenger. Thats all Iam aloowed to say peace

Re: HTC Sense +S2U2 Carbon v2 Theme [ for HD2 ]

Don't see what the fuss is about :)

Re: [ RUMOR ] Windows Phone 7 Features

Also, I agree with PPCINFORMER there will be restrictions applied to Zune phone not Windows Mobile. There will no doubt be new restrictions imposed by Microsoft to curb illegally obtained software but I doubt customisation will fall away.

Besides even if Microsoft do remove customisation, how long do you think the WM community will take to provide a way? 24 hours tops :)

Re: [ RUMOR ] Windows Phone 7 Features

Makes me laugh how everyone claims anything not iPhone is an iClone :) Shows how powerful Apple's advertising is. Motorola invented the first Mobile phone in 1973, Apple produced its first iPhone in 2007 some 34 years later.

Symbian has been around since late 1980s (19 years before iPhone))
WM roots go back to 1996 (11 years before iPhone)

Furthermore Apple have been sued a number of times for "poaching" technology for other manufacturers. Apple have revolutionised the Mobile world as we know it but they certainly did not invent it. If anything they cloned existing mobile technology making them the copy cats.
