I tried installing it on HTC Diamond(India)

Installation sucessful but it wont run.
Says newer version of MS .Net Framework required.

Are you running a custom ROM? is .Net 3.5 installed on the device thttp://www.saijogeorge.com/2008/11/24/delete-old-version-of-net-compact-framework-from-pocket-pc.html
